451 Briarwood-This was a 1922 Four Square with great space, but untouched since 1965.    Here the original swing wood panel door and wall between dining room and kitchen was removed and replaced with an island.  A small area that had been used for a 1950’s size dining table was re-configured into a back entry/mud room.  A mosaic rug from hex tile was created by hand to add ambiance with economy.  The original back porch was turned into sitting room with a moorish flair.  Upstairs a small bedroom was made into the bath of the master suite.  The pink and green 1950’s bath was gutted and redone, as were all the original floors.  Rustic arts and crafts details, and a coat of paint brought the tired exterior back to life.
