Norwood
557 Norwood-This 1922 traditional was built as a stock home as the city expanded in the pre-depression era. The outside had been recently painted, and the former owner had established a lovely garden. The biggest obstacle here was that all the original woodwork had undergone some sort of “faux stucco-ing treatment.” This was all removed with a heat gun and patience. A doorway between kitchen and dining was widened, again to give an open concept feeling. Trendy tile was the foundation for the traditional-with a modern twist-kitchen. The upstairs bath, paint and floor were also refurbished. Black trim with white walls added to its Eastown vibe.
